The home comes first
A lot of smart home projects begin with a gadget: a smart plug, a camera, a blind motor someone saw at a friend's place. We prefer to work the other way round. We look at the property, talk about who lives there, how the day runs and what gets on your nerves. The equipment list comes after that conversation.
There's a practical reason for this. The same technology can work very differently in two homes. In a seafront flat in Atakum, motorised blinds might be the thing you use most every day. In a detached house with a garden, the gate, outdoor lighting and heating usually matter more.
How we work
Site survey
We visit the home or the building site and check the distribution board, switch boxes, windows and the heating and cooling setup. Whether it is a new build or a home you already live in largely decides between a wired and a wireless system.
A written plan
After the survey we write down what will be controlled in each room, which scenes we will set up and what infrastructure we will use. We go through the plan with you. The goal is to keep "can we add this too?" moments to a minimum once installation starts.
Installation and testing
Once the devices are in, we program the system and test every scene on site. If construction or renovation is still going on, we work to the same schedule as the electrician, the plasterers and the architect. Getting the cabling in at the right stage is one of the things that matters most on these jobs.
Handover and after
At handover we use the app and the wall panels together with you. It is normal to want changes once you have lived with the system for a while, like the morning lights coming on later or a blind stopping halfway. We can adjust those afterwards.
What we stick to
- The wall switch should always work. The phone, the internet and voice assistants are extras, never the only way in.
- Automations inside the home should run locally wherever possible, so lights and blinds keep working when the internet drops.
- We keep the plan easy to follow and explain what each device does and why we chose it.
- We don't recommend systems you don't need. Sometimes starting with a single room is the right call.
- With cameras and recording, we take Turkey's personal data protection law (KVKK) into account.
Who we work with
Families building a new home, people upgrading a flat they already live in, villa owners, architects and developers all get in touch with us. We also use the same systems for lighting, climate and security in offices and shops. We carry out site surveys in central Samsun and the surrounding districts.
